In this first Haemoglobinopathies Working Party (HWP) session, three lecturers share their knowledge and new improvements on transplantation in Haemoglobinopathy.
First presentation is about current standard of care and outcome for transfusion dependent Thalassmeia patient worldwide presented by Professor Ali Taher. Dr Sarita Rani Jaiswal gives insights on advancements and challenges in Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation for thalassemia in Asia: where it matters most. Dr Stefano Rivella finishes the session with his pre-recorded presentation of look to the future: future directions of GT in Hemoglobinopathies.
